Amed's bay is one of the finest shore-diving spots in Bali, with Japanese WWII wrecks and vivid coral gardens reachable by fin. The food scene is simple and honest - warungs serving grilled fish straight off the jukung boats are the highlight, with the lakeside warung strip at Tirta Gangga a favourite detour.
